Storyation hires Peter Gearin as senior content specialist

Content agency Storyation has hired Peter Gearin as senior content specialist.

Gearin is the founding managing editor of B2B marketing website Marketorium. Prior to that he was the managing editor of Brand Tales, and director of Top to Tale Media.

New Storyation hires Nick Banks, Takuto Arakawa and Peter Gearin

Previously, he spent 17 years as a senior editor for Fairfax Media titles The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun Herald.

In his new role, Gearin will be working with clients including NRMA, Energy Australia and the City of Sydney.

Lauren Quaintance, Storyation co-founder, said: “Peter is one of the leading journalists-turned-content marketers in Australia and our clients will benefit enormously from his experience.”

Nick Banks has also joined Storyation as sub-editor. Banks was previously the deputy editor of Virgin Australia’s in-flight magazine Voyeur, and Toyota’s Go Places magazine, both for Pacific.

Also joining the agency is Takuto Arakawa as junior designer. Arakawa is a recent graduate from the Billy Blue College of Design at Torrens University.

Quaintance said of Arakawa and Banks’ appointments: “We’re thrilled with the calibre of staff that we continue to attract to Storyation in what is a period of rapid growth for the agency.”
