Storyblok expands Into Australia to transform digital storytelling across the region

Storyblok has expanded into APAC and Australia, as they see a great opportunity to optimise Australia’s content management systems to be more agile and efficient.

Sydney, Australia – October 13, 2022 – Storyblok, the content management system (CMS) category leader for 2022 that empowers both developers and content teams to create better content experiences across all digital channels, today announced its expansion into Australia.

Brands in Australia such as Pizza Hut Australia, Sydney FC, Liberty Finance Australia, Vicinity Centres, Treasury Wine Estates, Crimson Education and Octopus Deploy already use Storyblok as the content engine for their digital experiences.

In recognition of the massive growth potential throughout APAC, Storyblok hired Marcus Paterson as its APAC Sales Manager. Marcus has held leadership roles at National Australia Bank, Fuji Xerox, and Leidos Australia. He’s now based in Thailand to support customers across the region and is actively growing a sales team and related support roles.

To understand more about content management in APAC, Storyblok surveyed 200 professionals who use a CMS in Australia.

The survey revealed the following key insights:

· Only 21.5% of Australian companies are very satisfied with their CMSs

· 44% are exploring moving to a headless CMS

· The CMS features that are most important: #1 Security, #2 Website speed, #3 Easy to use for content creators

· 50% are worried about the security of their CMS

· 63.5% use 2 or more CMSs

· 58.5% deliver content in more than one language

· 10% are using their CMS to deliver content in virtual reality, and 5% in augmented reality

“Based on our great success so far in APAC, we knew now was the right time to invest heavily in Australia,” said Sascha Ploebst, VP of Sales at Storyblok. “The data shows us that local companies are ready to move to headless CMS solutions to improve their digital storytelling.”
