Strongbow targets festival goers in summer marketing blitz

Strongbow has kicked off a summer marketing campaign with a series of posters that push the cider brand’s association with music festivals.

The posters feature the beverage’s experiential activation idea the SS Strongbow, which has become a regular fixture at festivals.

The ship appeared at Splendour in the grass, and is set to appear at Stereosonic Sydney and Melbourne, and Southbound in Western Australia in the new year.

Clive Coleman, group marketing manager for Cider at Strongbow, said: “Everything we do with Strongbow is about capturing that summer holiday spirit and music festivals are a key occasion for this, it’s where friends come together to enjoy music and have fun. We think this new creative will really resonate with Strongbow drinkers. We love it.”

The creative agency behind the posters was Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.

Strongbow’s summer campaign will also include TV, PR, music festival sponsorship, experiential activity, social media and an upcoming event on 30 November.
