STW ready to buy again as Photon talks to Murdoch
Two of Australia’s biggest marketing groups – Photon and STW – have seen developments that may signal they are ready to move back into growth mode following the downturn.
According to today’s Media section of The Australian, Photon has talked to Lachlan Murdoch’s Illyria investment business. The newspaper says the presentation was informal and it’s too early to say whether it will lead to Illyria investing in Photon.
Photon’s companies include agencies such as BMF, BWM and Naked.
And STW has told today’s Australian Financial Review that it is looking at two acquisitions and some start-ups following a period of staff cutbacks. STW companies include Ikon and the local operation of JWT.
