Suncorp’s Sunny promotes app while riding through shopping centre on toy panda

Suncorp’s Sunny, who has now become the leading protagonist in its above the line advertising, has promoted the bank’s app while riding through a shopping centre on a toy panda.

The ads show Sunny throwing confetti at people when they use their Suncorp app to make payments and also features Sunny in a bowling alley getting strikes.

As another iteration of the original ‘Money with Sunny’ campaign, the ads aim to make finance a family conversation and position insurance tasks as more attainable.

Suncorp’s creative agency of record is Publicis Groupe. The group was appointed to the brand’s creative and media account in March last year to reposition the Suncorp brand.

Other instalments of the ad have included ‘Sunny’s Truth Bombs’ which showed Sunny dropping ‘truth bombs’ on why Australian’s struggle to buy homes.

Meanwhile another ad has featured Sunny Sunny promoting the bank’s growth saver, income protection, home insurance and Apple pay offerings.

All of the Money with Sunny ads are backed with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ ‘Thrift Shop’.
