Supercars appoints Innocean as creative partner

Supercars has appointed Innocean Australia as its creative partner.

Innocean will work on growing Supercars’ brand presence and increasing engagement with Australians and New Zealanders.

The remit will cover the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship which started this month in Adelaide and and will finish up in December in Newcastle.

Innocean CEO Peter Fitzhardinge, said: “Supercars is a great event and brand in Australia and NZ and we are very pleased to be working with the Supercars Team. Of course, there’s a natural fit and our experience in not just brand but also events and sponsorship will find a role.”

Executive creative director, Steve Jackson, added: “It’s a great way to kick the year off. Supercars is an icon in Australian motor racing and we’re thrilled to be on board and working with the Supercars team.”

Supercars general manager of marketing, Stephanie Crockford, said that Innocean’s experience in the automotive sector weighed in on the appointment.

“Innocean’s extensive experience in the motoring sector was a key factor in our decision. They understood our need for an agile creative partner who can work with the fast-paced nature of our business.”

Innocean’s clients include Hyundai, Kia and Open Shop.
