Supercheap Auto creates car themed national anthem for Bathurst Day

Supercheap Auto has wished Australians Happy Bathurst Day by using car sounds to play the national anthem.

The one minute video starts with a revving car engine, a motorbike, mechanics twisting tools and a little boy playing with his toy cars.

Created by The General Store, the ad also includes a family camping, people filling up petrol, washing cars, buying groceries and watching the Bathurst race weekend.

David Bauer, general manager of customer communication and engagement, said in a statement: “The Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1,000 isn’t just a great sporting event, it’s a great cultural event. Friends and families have been coming together to celebrate the day for generations and we wanted to shine a spotlight on the iconically Australian day.”

Supercar driver Chaz Mostert and youtube sensations the Mighty Car Mods are featured in the ad.
