Supermarkets get ‘animated floor’ treatment

TimTamFloorMedia agency TorchMedia have rolled out “animated floors” across New South Wales.

The announcement:

Australia’s leading retail media provider, TorchMedia have released the latest format to add to their in-store offering.

The new Animated Floor innovation is being used in supermarkets across Australia to bring brands to life at the shelf.

A digital message is projected onto the floor in front of the shelf, grabbing the attention of shopper’s in-store as they shop the aisle. The new motion format is being used as a tool for brands to cut through the environment and achieve greater shopper engagement.

This form of media is being trialled in selected stores across New South Wales, but with early popularity the format is likely to be included in the TorchMedia offering.

TorchMedia has been offering unique solutions to in-store media for seven years, but this new format represents a new level of in-store advertising.

Kirsty Dollisson, General Manager, Marketing and Commercial said the new format is a different way to communicate with customer’s in-store.

“Part of Torch’s initiatives is to bring in-store innovations to shopper marketing,” she said. “We are always looking at new ways to bring brands to life at the shelf, both in Australia and overseas.”

TorchMedia says the Animated Floor is a great opportunity for dynamic and engaging messages that can make a product stand out on the shelf.
