Droga5 wins gold among seven Design Lions for Australia
Droga5’s ‘Stories for Every Journey’ campaign for Qantas won a Gold Lion in the Design category at Cannes, and is one of seven Australian agencies to be recognised in the category.
The Qantas campaign nominated in the sub-category of publications and business communications design, features a series of books edited to be read in the duration of a particular flight route which were published by Hachette and designed by Paul Bedford.
Also recognised in the design category was M&C Saatchi Australia, which was awarded a Silver Lion for its Art of Noise campaign for Noise International.
And Sydney agency Bear Meets Eagle on Fire won a Silver Lion for its work on Smilemakers vibrators for Ramblin’ Brands.
Leo Burnett Sydney’s self-promotion campaign Leo’s Cider took a Bronze Lion for design in the self-promotion category, and Like Minded Studio in Walsh Bay was awarded a Bronze Lion for its ‘Visual Identity’ campaign for Noise International Sydney.
Bronze Lions were also awarded to the RE Sydney campaign for Steve Li Acupuncturist and Interbrand Australia Sydney’s ‘Igloo Brand Creation’ for Sky New Zealand.
The design for Steve Li features business cards donated by his approving customers that are punched through with his details.
Seven out of nine entries from Australia shortlisted in the Design Lions category won awards.
