For the 2018 NRL Women in League Round Steggles has partnered with the Sydney Roosters to show gratitude to the influential women who have supported the players.

The match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs airs tonight with the players bearing the Steggles logo and the name of an influential woman in their life.

In a supporting campaign, Australian rugby player James Tedesco and his mum sit down to discuss Tedesco’s childhood.

As a surprise to his mother, Tedesco shows her the jersey he will be wearing with her name on it.

Ben Greenslade, general manager at M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, said in a statement: “We’re proud to see this campaign return for a second year as we continue to celebrate the women behind the Roosters. It’s rewarding to hear the players express gratitude for the opportunity to pay tribute to the women in their lives.

“We’ve also received great feedback from the Roosters and the NRL on the content that we’ve been able to create for the campaign this year.”

Yash Gandhi, head of marketing at Steggles, added: “This is something special – for us and for the team at Roosters. We are proud to enter the second season of this initiative and to continue to
support the players as they honour the influential women that have made their success possible.”
