Taboo promotes Nick Jamieson to executive creative director

Melbourne independent creative agency Taboo has promoted Nick Jamieson to the role of executive creative director.

Jamieson has been with the agency since April 2018 when he joined as creative director.

Jamieson has been with Taboo since 2018

Previously, Jamieson spent almost three years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, holding several roles including creative director. He has also freelanced in content writing and was the editor-in-chief at Lifelounge.

Taboo general manager, Matilda Hobba, said in a statement: “Nick is the perfect person for this important role. He’s a creative person in the truest sense; he’s a chef, an editor, a comedian, an actor, a musician and a writer. Above all, he loves working with people to create progressive ideas. He’s the bearded unicorn of our dreams.”

Nick Jamieson said of his new role: “Taboo is a very exciting agency to be a part of – it’s always strived to make work that is modern, impactful and that people actually want to be a part of. With the mix of talent the agency has assembled recently, I know our best work is ahead of us – and I’m pumped to lead that.”

The agency also alluded to the development of a new section within the creative department that will be lead by creative director Reece Hobbins. The agency stated it will launch in the coming months.
