The video also taps into a number of ongoing debates in the league, including the location of home games during the finals period and the annual match that takes place in China – which has been cancelled this year due to coronavirus.
Sportsbet communications manager, Rich Hummerston, last week said: “The 2020 AFL season is going to be one hell of a ride. Is your club headed for glory or will they be more of a passenger this year?”
The video, created by Sportsbet’s in-house team, is live on the company’s social media channels, and a 30-second version was shown during Seven’s broadcast of the opening match between Richmond and Carlton, and during football program The Front Bar.
