talkSPORT appoints The Media Company

The Media Company will manage sales across Australia and New Zealand for sports radio station talkSPORT.

The announcement:

talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station and global audio partner of the Premier League has appointed The Media Company to manage its sales across Australia and New Zealand.

The Media Company will be responsible for searching for an online or digital partner for talkSPORT’s global Barclays Premier League commentary rights as well as attracting radio sponsorship and on-air advertising on all of talkSPORT’s international programming.

The Media Company is one of a number of high profile agencies employed by talkSPORT in territories around the globe to promote broadcast, advertising and sponsorship opportunities on the award winning international sports station.

Last year talkSPORT won the global audio rights to all Barclays Premier League football matches and fans outside of Europe now have unparalleled access to commentary of all 380 games each season in multiple languages including English, Spanish and Mandarin.

talkSPORT Live is talkSPORT’s global audio service which provides exclusive live commentary of every Barclays Premier League match and selected FA Cup and Capital One Cup matches for free to listeners outside of Europe. Advertisers will also be able to target international audiences for the UK’s leading sports radio shows such as The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Call Collymore and Hawksbee & Jacobs.

In the UK, talkSPORT already attracts high profile sponsors including Renault, Microsoft, Sky tv, Land Rover and through a partnership with digital audio specialists AdsWizz, the station delivers geographically targeted campaigns to sports fans across all of the station’s internationally broadcast output.

talkSPORT is the world’s biggest dedicated sports radio station and Global Audio Partner of the Barclays Premier League.
