One year after stepping into the head marketing role at Myer, Tara Lordsmith has left to restart her consultancy, Lordsmith & Co.
“I’m really excited,” Lordsmith said of her decision to return to consultancy.
Lordsmith enjoyed a long career at Simplot and developed a strong understanding of the FMCG market, before branching out into consultancy.
Last year was was convinced to join Myer but said while she enjoyed her time with the business, she believed she could accomplish more with her skills working with a variety of clients.

She also said stepping away from the retailer would give her the time to take on board roles that she enjoyed.
“There is so much change happening in the market and clients need a bit of help.”
Lordsmith has previously has senior marketing roles at Simplot and Cadbury.
