Taska Media wins account for sleeping device company Res Med

Taska Media, an independent media agency, has won the account for Res Med, an Australian company which sells devices to improve sleep quality and address sleep-related breathing disorders.

The agency’s remit will extend to digital, social, search, and media planning and buying. The campaign for Res Med will run across catch-up and free-to-air TV, radio, out of home, print, and include an activation at the upcoming golf competition, the Presidents Cup, in Melbourne.

Shaun Warry and Christian Simon

Line Andersen, head of marketing at Res Med ANZ, said that a boutique agency was what the company was looking for.

“This is our first step into consumer media in Australia so we needed an agency partner that was fast and flexible. We were attracted to Taska because it’s an independent, boutique shop, and it demonstrated the nimbleness and responsiveness we were looking for,” Andersen said.

“We’re on a mission to help more Australians get the sleep they deserve, and Taska really demonstrated an understanding of this, right from our very first conversations.”

Shaun Warry, partner and digital lead, added that “the purpose of the campaign is not to talk about yawning and being tired but about having a better quality of life”.

Taska Media was founded in 2013 by Christian Simon, with Warry joining in 2015.

“We don’t have to adhere to overarching trading deals and spend commitments. We are free to work with the best creative affiliate for each campaign and we are able to create working relationships with our clients in which communication flows freely,” Simon said.

“Productive communications lead to effective strategies and these are the backbone of campaigns that produce optimal results.”
