Taubmans Paint appoint Naked Communications following pitch

TaubmansPaint brand Taubmans has appointed Naked Communications to handle its strategic above-the-line creative responsibilities following a competitive pitch, Mumbrella can reveal.

McCann Melbourne previously handled the account, however it is unclear if they were involved in the pitch process.

Taubmans head of marketing and retail consumer brands Nadine Miller-Vachon said: “Following an intense pitch process involving rigorous criteria and market research to confirm that the ideas presented resonated with our audience, we are delighted to have appointed Naked Communications.

“Our team is excited to be working with Naked Communications to deliver our 2015 brand strategy and we can’t wait to see where this new partnership takes us.”

For Naked the win follows on from the agency being named as as one of four winners in the Cannes Chimera Award for the second year running.

Naked Australia CEO Carl Ratcliff said: “We’re chuffed to bits to have won this full service opportunity; we believe Taubmans occupies an essential place in Australian homes and enjoys an iconic status worthy of celebrating. So, if home is where the heart is, then that is precisely where we’ll head. And help Australians do home decoration, not just think it. Naked can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Last month saw Cummins & Partners appointed to rival Dulux Paints brands, including British Paints.

Naked Communications’ clients include Red Rooster, SBS, Canteen and Kinetic Super.

The agency comes on board the account from January 1 next year.
