TBWA Sydney promotions install new GM and director of production and creative services

TBWA has promoted head of business management Tanya Vragalis to general manager of its Sydney office.

She joined the agency at the start of 2018, and has led key client relationships including Amazon, Optus, and CUB.

The business has also elevated Lisa Brown to director of production and creative services across the TBWA Group, which includes Eleven, Fleishman Hillard, Integer, Fabric, and Bolt Content in addition to TBWA.

Vragalis and Brown

Brown joined TBWA in 2015 as head of TV production, eventually taking charge of all production across the group in Sydney. Two years ago, she launched the production unit Bolt Content, which has since launched in 12 global markets. Most recently, she led the production team for Tourism New Zealand’s ‘Play NZ’.

CEO Paul Bradbury said that “while 2020 hasn’t been an easy ride for anyone, TBWA Sydney is coming into some very good form”.

“We have three very significant new business wins to announce in coming weeks, and building on ‘PLAY NZ’ we have some exciting new work breaking over the coming months,” he said.

“Tanya and Lisa have been at the heart of this momentum. Their leadership and commitment to innovation and change are driving the agency forward.”

The office’s managing director, Nitsa Lotus, added: “Tanya and Lisa embody the disruptive and collaborative spirit of TBWA, and it’s great to see great people step up in our business.”

For their part, Vragalis and Brown said they’re taking on bigger leadership roles at a crucial time “in the evolution of TBWA Sydney”.

“We are winning new business and looking to expand into new and innovative areas – so it’s a great time to be here,” they said.

“Our focus will be on continuing to develop a model that delivers to our clients’ evolving needs, that supports Evan’s [Evan Roberts] creative ambitions, supports our teams and nurtures our culture.”

Roberts was announced as the agency’s new chief creative officer in July, replacing Andy Dilallo.
