TBWA Sydney’s Doug Hamilton becomes creative director at Koala
TBWA Sydney creative director, Doug Hamilton, has departed the agency to join the in-house creative team at mattress company Koala.
Hamilton will be taking over from Matthew Rossi as creative director, who has joined Canva as head of creative.
Before joining TBWA Sydney, Hamilton was lead senior copywriter at Droga 5 in New York working on its Google, Under Armour and Covergirl accounts. Previously, he spent two years at Anomaly in New York as associate creative director, working on the Budweiser and Captain Morgan accounts.
Dany Milham, co-founder and director of Koala, said: “Matt contributed to various successful creative campaigns at Koala and we wish him all the best in his new role. In his replacement, we are excited to welcome the internationally-awarded Doug Hamilton who has been the Creative Director at TBWA Sydney, and Droga 5 and Anomaly in New York.”
Recently, Koala launched its first in-house integrated campaign, which starred comedian Greta Lee Jackson.
No reflection on anyone in this story but highlighting a problem with how out of control the various titles have got, and the confusion around them – “…who has been the Creative Director at TBWA Sydney, and Droga 5 and Anomaly in New York.”
is very different from “…who has been a Creative Director at TBWA Sydney, and Droga 5 and Anomaly in New York.”
