TBWA’s chief creative officer to set up a new agency

Evan Roberts, chief creative officer (CCO) at creative agency TBWA\Australia, is leaving the business to explore his own business venture.

As revealed by LBB, Roberts’ tenure at TBWA will end on March 28, and will see him set up his own agency.

An award-winning creative known for producing the Victorian Transport Accident Commission’s ‘Meet Graham’ campaign, and the ‘Hungerithm’ campaign for Snickers, Roberts joined TBWA five years ago in mid-2020, and delivered work for several established brands, such as PepsiCo., Apple, Mastercard and Tourism New Zealand.

Before TBWA, he spent six years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne in creative director (CD) and executive creative director (ECD) roles.

Roberts’ appointment saw him take over from Andy Dilallo, who went on to open creative business, Milk + Honey United, with Innocean’s former executive creative director, Steve Jackson, in March 2021.

In a post on LinkedIn, Roberts confirmed the news while briefly, yet fondly, looking back on his stint at TBWA.

“The news has officially dropped. Kind of,” he wrote.

“Being the captain of a pirate ship was always a life goal and I’ve loved every minute aboard TBWA\Australia, but it’s time to build my own boat. More soon.

“Too many people to tag and thank – you know who you are.”
