Telstra, Photon and Google bigwigs join Harold Mitchell for Question Time at Mumbrella 360

Media mogul Harold Mitchell, Google boss Nick Leeder, Telstra’s corporate marketing director Inese Kingsmill and the new CEO of Photon Group Matt Melhuish are to take questions from the audience at next month’s Mumbrella 360 conference.

The powerful quartet will sit on a panel chaired by Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes on the second day of the event, on 7 June.

Melhuish, who took over from Jeremy Philips as CEO of Photon in January, will join the panel around the time Photon officially changes its name to Enero Group, which was announced on the ASX last month. Melhuish, the M of BMF, runs the holding group that owns BWM, The Leading Edge, Naked, Frank PR and Hotwire PR.

Harold Mitchell runs Australia’s only billion-dollar buying point Mitchell & Partners as well as holds the title as executive chairman of Aegis Media Pacific. He was named the most powerful person in Melbourne in the The Power Index at the start of this year.

Australia’s top media agency boss will be joined by the head of one of the country’s most powerful media company, Google. Nick Leeder was appointed MD of Google Australia and New Zealand in January 2011, moving across from News Limited where he was deputy CEO of The Australian.

Representing the client side of the debate will be Inese Kingsmill, who joined Telstra from Microsoft in November 2010. She was one of the architects of the telco’s massive brand repositioning effort in September last year. She chairs the Australian Association of National Advertisers.
