Telstra’s principal comms advisor Karina Keisler moves to Vodafone
A senior corporate communications professional who spent a decade at Telstra has moved to rival Vodafone.
Karina Keisler, principal advisor and corporate spokesperson in Telstra’s media relations team, takes on the role of general manager of corporate affairs at Vodafone.
Keisler spent around ten years at Telstra, seven and a half of those them at Sensis.
She told Mumbrella: “I had a great time at Telstra, and I met some fantastic people. But when it’s time, it’s time.”
Keisler is under no illusions of the task ahead to improve Vodafone’s poor public image.
She said: “That was part of the appeal of the role. It’s a big challenge. But Vodafone has a recipe for success. The people I’ve met have impressed me in terms of their attitude and the culture in place to make things right.”
Keisler starts in her new role at the beginning of August, and will relocate from Melbourne to Sydney.
Congratulations – and welcome to Sydney!

From someone who has worked with Karina: wow, that’s one serious brain drain from Melbourne & Telstra. Top job Vodafone and Sydney!

After Vodafone’s ridiculous “sorry” campaign it’s amazing news that they managed to lure Karina. Massive loss for Telstra and massive win for Vodafone, good move Voda!
