Ten announces new primetime show, What The Hell Just Happened?

Network Ten has unveiled a new primetime format premiering on Monday 5 April, after The Amazing Race concludes.

What The Hell Just Happened? will see 20 celebrities, including Waleed Aly, Julie Bishop, Joel Creasey and Beau Ryan,”reflect on the year that was, and what could possibly lie ahead”.

The show will be narrated by comedian and radio presenter Kate Langbroek, who co-hosts the 3pm Pick Up on Australian Radio Network’s Kiis, after returning from two years in Italy. She has also appeared on TV in Talkin’ Bout Your Generation, The Circle, Thank God You’re Here, Dancing with the Stars, The Panel, Studio 10 and Hughesy We Have a Problem.

Ten teased that former politician Julie Bishop will reveal her thoughts on Cardi B’s WAP video, and comedian and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! co-host Julia Morris will weigh in on climate change and the COVID-19 vaccine.

The rest of the line-up includes: Andy Allen, Harley Breen, Susan Carland, Urzila Carlson, Bianca Chatfield, Daniel Doody, Jess Eva, Michael Hing, Nazeem Hussain, Narelda Jacobs, Becky Lucas,   Jordan Nguyen, Eddie Perfect, Adam Spencer and Myf Warhurst.

Last week, Breen was announced as a host of Making It, alongside Susie Youssef. The crafting competition will air later this year, after Masterchef.

The network’s content slate also includes I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which performed strongly at the start of the year, The Amazing Race, which is currently airing but struggling to find purchase against Nine’s Married at First Sight, The Cube, also currently showing, Australian Survivor, The Bachelor franchise, The Masked Singer, Gogglebox, and Have You Been Paying Attention?

In addition, Ten’s parent company ViacomCBS’ will soon launch its streaming service, Paramount+ – which replaces 10 All Access – in Australia, and has begun building a local team.
