Ten confirms deal with Twitter Amplify

Channel Ten has announced a partnership with Twitter Amplify.

The announcement:

Network Ten today announced a partnership with Twitter Amplify, the social media platform’s innovative advertising program.
The partnership will allow Network Ten and its sponsors to publish in-Tweet, real-time video content through Network Ten’s Twitter feeds.
The announcement is the latest addition to Network Ten’s TV everywhere strategy, which launched in September this year with the new and improved website and app, tenplay.

Network Ten Chief Sales Officer, Louise Barrett, said: “We’re really excited about this latest addition to our digital advertising offering.
“Twitter and television go hand-in-hand. Audiences are increasingly discussing television in the social space, sharing their reactions to nail-biting season finales and thrilling sporting moments. We want to make the most of this new dynamic between audiences and programming.

“Twitter Amplify is an innovative way to engage with these audiences while they are most active, reaching the social conversation wherever it happens, and allowing us to measure how socially responsive people are to television campaigns,” she said.

The integrated video content will include promos for key programming and real-time video clips of live coverage via social media solutions company SnappyTV, which provides video publishing tools for real-time promotional messaging. This will enable Network Ten to
highlight key moments of high-profile events on Twitter, such as the upcoming XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Ms Barrett said: “It’s a win-win. Our advertisers will be perfectly positioned to reach engaged consumers, while our audiences receive exciting content that enhances their television experience.”
