Network Ten has unveiled the first look at some of the women hoping to win the heart of The Bachelor in the upcoming series.

Last night Ten started airing a new trailer for the reality show which sees fitness instructor Sam Wood looking to find a love match and is set to air after cooking show Masterchef ends.

The new clip shows some of the 19 Bachelorettes trying some novel ways to make a first impression on Wood, including one making a balloon rose and another taking a selfie with a Polaroid camera with him.

Ten will be hoping to build on the attention garnered last year after Bachelor Blake Garvey dumped Sam Frost, with the finale gaining 1.34m viewers last year.

Garvey is now starring in a new ad campaign for Fairfax Media’s Drive.com.au site, while Frost is set to star in The Bachelorette which will air later this year.

Network Ten is excited to present the 19 ladies who will start a new romantic journey alongside Bachelor Sam Wood on season three of The Bachelor Australia, coming soon to TEN.

After a nationwide search involving thousands of women, these Bachelorettes stood out from the crowd thanks to their intelligence, beauty and humour.

Ranging in age from 24 to 34, they come from all areas of life: a vet, a teacher, a dietitian, a publishing account manager and much more.

Over a series of romantic dates and cocktail parties, these 19 ladies will be doing their best to capture Sam’s eye and win themselves a red rose.

On why she applied for the show, Rachel, 28, a charity worker from Adelaide, said: “The Bachelor Australia looks like an incredible adventure and from watching previous seasons of the show, I have seen how it opens girls up to love.”

Ebru, 31, a financial portfolio manager from Melbourne, said: “I don’t see putting yourself out there as a bad thing. I always search for love and I am sure it will come knocking soon.”

The attention of such an amazing group of women is sure to be overwhelming for any man, even our down-to-earth Bachelor Sam.

When talking about the Bachelorettes’ arrival to the mansion, Sam said: “Meeting all the girls for the first time is without doubt going to be a bit daunting, but I’m so curious to get to know them and hopefully there’s one I can fall in love with.”
