The focus on Saturday nights follows a poor performance for Ten, with the channel most recently posting a Saturday audience share of 5.5% compared with Seven’s 24.8% and Nine’s 18.3%.

The prior Saturday (September 10) Ten had a share of 5.7% behind Seven’s 24.8% and Nine’s 17.7%, while on September 3 Ten claimed a share of 7.5% behind Seven’s 19.9% and Nine’s 17.8%.

From Saturday, October 8, Ten will be putting its faith in US series Scorpion (6:30pm), the new MacGyver (7:30pm) and Hawaii Five-O (8:30pm).

The reinvention of the 1980s hit MacGyver brings back Angus ‘Mac’ MacGyver as a 20-something year old who does not use weapons and is afraid of heights. The series is directed by Australian James Wan (Saw, The Conjuring, Furious 7).

Hawaii Five-O returns for its seventh series with Australian Alex O’Loughlin returning to lead to cast as Detective Steve McGarrett.
