Ten tops key advertising demographics with Have You Been Paying Attention? and Masterchef

Ten won the demos in Monday night’s TV ratings with Have You Been Paying Attention? and Masterchef topping the key 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 advertising demographics.

According to OzTam’s overnight viewing figures, the two shows were enough to help Ten tie with Nine for second place in overall audience share, with 16.1% each.

However, Seven’s strong news showing, along with its renovation program House Rules meant the main channel pulled in the largest main channel share, with 18.2%.

The home renovation show also performed well in the key advertising demographics, achieving third place in age groups 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven News achieved 1.156m metro viewers while House Rules pulled in 890,000 viewers.

Nine’s news show came a close second in top overall programs, with 1.056m metro viewers.

Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention? drew 865,000 viewers, while Masterchef managed 833,000.

Nine’s most watched entertainment program was Hot Seat, with 604,000 viewers.

Love Island continued to perform well for Nine in the multichannels, with 195,000 viewers on 9GO!.

The show helped Nine pull ahead of Ten in overall channel share, with 25.5%. Seven came out on top in overall channel share, with 26.9%. Ten achieved 21.4%, while ABC won a 16.8% share ahead of SBS’ 9.4%.
