Ten’s The Bachelor wins across the demos as ABC’s Gruen holds steady
The second outing of Gruen pulled in 865,000 metro viewers at 8:30pm last night to be the most-watched non-news or non-Olympics programming of the evening.
In a night dominated by Seven’s broadcast of the 2016 Rio Olympics, Ten’s The Bachelor attracted 858,000 metro viewers at 7:30pm and was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54).
Seven’s In Rio Today Olympics wrap-up saw 1.014m metro viewers tune in at 7:00pm. The evening broadcast, which airs from 9:00pm, was watched by 919,000 and the day broadcast, kicking off at 9:00am, pulled in 570,000.
Seven won the night with an audience share of 25.7%, while Nine just managed second place with a share of 14.1% while Ten managed 14%. The ABC settled for a share of 11.6%.
On Nine, RBT at 7:30pm was watched by 694,000.
In the news battleground, Seven News at 6:00pm pulled in 1.275m, slipping to 962,000 from 6:30pm when it did not air in Adelaide and Perth.
Nine News at 6:00pm grabbed 965,000, sliding to 916,000 at 6.30pm.
