Ten’s One channel clocks up record ratings, while Seven rests shows over Easter

Seven was the only channel to rest its key Sunday shows at the start of the official off-ratings Easter period, while the FIA Formula One World Championship delivered record ratings for Ten’s digital channel One.

The motor racing competition attracted an audience of 816,000 viewers to Ten’s main channel, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets.

Its broadcast on One also drew an audience of 367,000, making it the highest-rating event broadcast on the digital sports channel to date.

One attracted an overall channel share of 2.8 per cent, ahead of Seven’s 7Two with 2.6 per cent. However Nine’s Go maintained its lead with 5.1 per cent.

Nine’s evening news and current affairs program 60 Minutes on its main channel were the top two most-watched shows for the night respectively, followed by Seven News.

In spite of the repeat episodes, Seven’s Border Security, Air Ways, Bones all still managed to maket it onto the top 10 most watched list.
