Terry Savage joins The Marketing Academy as global chairman
Outgoing Cannes Lions chairman Terry Savage has been appointed global chairman of British-Australian industry training organisation The Marketing Academy.
Savage announced he will step down from the Lions after the 2018 event last year, and takes the role as the not for profit organisation looks to expand into North America and the Middle East.
In a media statement, Savage said: “I have long believed that for our industry to thrive we need to invest in our talent at the highest level.
“Through the quality of its mentors and the exceptional leadership development it delivers The Marketing Academy has already earned an enviable reputation as a growth enabler for our talent and therefore our future. I’m looking forward to uniting the community around the world to collectively benefit from the Academy’s work’.
Mumbrella has contacted The Marketing Academy to confirm if Savage will be based in Sydney or London.
Founder of The Marketing Academy, Sherilyn Shackell added: “For the last eight years we have been uniting companies, CEO’s and CMO’s across the entire industry to share their wisdom and expertise with the next generation of leaders.
“With over 400 Alumni of our programs we remain totally committed to inspiring and developing exceptional talent. Terry brings a wealth of experience and knowledge at a global level and I am beyond excited that he has agreed to support us in the next step of our growth’.
