The Bachelor pulls 871,000 metro viewers, beating out The Block
The third week of The Bachelor has seen it pull back ahead of The Block, with 871,000 metro viewers tuning in – up from 819,000 last week – according to OzTAM’s preliminary overnight ratings.
Over on Nine, The Block slipped from last Wednesday’s 901,000 to 846,000.

Ten’s The Bachelor also topped the key advertising demographics of 16-39s (407,000), 18-49s (557,000) and 25-54s (532,000), with The Block placing second.
The Bachelor was more popular in Sydney (266,000 viewers, compared to The Block’s 251,000), while the renovation show won out in Melbourne (273,000 compared to The Bachelor’s 256,000).
Seven’s 7:30pm entertainment offering Highway Patrol had 511,000 and at 8:00pm Motorbike Cops had 539,000.
ABC’s 8:00pm show Anh’s Brush With Fame by comparison had 579,000.
Overall, Seven News won the night with 1.018m metro viewers, compared to Nine News’ 921,000, but Nine won the night with a 19.0% audience share. Seven had a 17.3% audience share, while Ten finished on 16.0%. ABC’s and SBS’ shares were 12.1% and 3.9% respectively.
The most-watched multi-channel was Nine’s 9Go, which had 3.9% of the metro viewing audience, helping the Nine Network to an overall win of 27.8%. Seven Network remained in second place with 26.6%, while Ten had 21.6%.
ABC Network had 17.5% and SBS’ channels totalled 6.5% of the audience.
