The Bachelorette gains 63,000 viewers for double date show-down
Ten’s The Bachelorette has improved in this week’s metro ratings, gaining 63,000 viewers for the episode in which Georgia Love pitted two love interests against each other on the same date.
The 7:30pm program achieved 624,000 viewers, up on last week’s 561,000. The program was also in the top five across the key advertising demographics (16-39), (18-49), (25-54), taking first place in the 16-39s.
Despite The Bachelorette’s improvement, Nine’s The Block was the most watched non-news program of the evening, attracting 906,000 viewers.
The program was in the top five shows across the key demos, but down on last Wednesday night’s figures of 912, 000 viewers.
Also in the 7:30pm slot, Seven’s The Big Music Quiz pulled 562,000 viewers, up from its previous episode on October 2, which achieved an audience of 527,000.
In news, Seven won the night with 1.011m tuning in to the 6:00pm bulletin, and 955,000 viewers for the 6:30pm slot. This was well ahead of Nine which pulled 884,000 and 914,000, respectively.
Later on in the evening, Nine’s Doctor Doctor took the 8:30pm slot with 826,000 metro viewers watching the program. The program won the time slot, up 63,000 viewers from last week.
Also at 8:30pm, the ABC’s Upper Middle Bogan was watched by 574,00 ahead of Ten’s The Wrong Girl, which had an audience of 560,000.
The Wrong Girl managed a top five spot across the key demos.
Channel Nine won overall audience share at 28.3%, ahead of Seven’s 25.3%. It was almost a tie for Ten and the ABC which drew an audience share of 19.7% and 18.7%, respectively.
