The Block beats The Voice, though Seven takes the night

The Block has managed to edge out The Voice as the highest-rating entertainment show across the five metro cities for Sunday evening, although Seven took the night overall.

The Block pulled 745,000 viewers across the five metro cities for Nine, compared to The Voice’s 705,000 for Seven.

Despite this, Seven continued its recent winning run with a 33.7% market share for the evening, ahead of Nine’s 30.6%, and mostly driven by its evening news, and Spotlight extension.

Restoration Australia and the finale of Aussie drama Bay of Fires pushed ABC to an impressive 15.4% share, well above Ten’s 12.9% showing.
