The Block hammers home another win for Nine

The Block has topped entertainment programming for Wednesday evening, tipping Nine across the line for an overall win, with a share of 29.6%.

The episode landed 763,000 metro viewers, and topped all three key advertising demos, with ABC’s Fisk in second place for entertainment with 543,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for Wednesday 19 October, The Block was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.423 million viewers, including 228,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 33%, the biggest uplift of the week.

Next in entertainment was the ABC program, Hard Quiz, with 515,000 metro viewers, with ABC’s Question Everything also bringing in 464,000 metro viewers, rounding out a strong night for the public broadcaster.

Seven’s Home and Away followed with 429,000, then Seven’s The Chase Australia with 427,000, Kitchen Nightmare Australia on Seven with 371,000 metro viewers and Hot Seat on Nine brought in 332,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News at 6:30 won overall programming for Wednesday night, bringing in 838,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 837,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 had 717,000 metro viewers, with Nine News on 706,000 metro viewers, Nine’s A Current Affair had 602,000 and ABC News had 544,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned, Nine won the overall network share for the evening with 29.6% over Seven’s 26.2%, while ABC took 20.4% and Ten had a share of 20.4%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7Two with a share of 4.6%.
