The Block locks in 849k metro viewers; Nine takes the night

Nine’s The Block led the entertainment program on Monday, drawing in 849,000 metro viewers while winning three key demographics. Nine also took the night.

The program launched to 867,000 metro viewers earlier this year.

Following The Block was Have You Been Paying Attention? on Ten, attracting 561,000 metro viewers. Australian Story on ABC brought in 559,000 viewers.

Seven’s Home and Away aired to 488,000 viewers, The Chase to 463,000 and Australia’s Got Talent to 459,000.

However, Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 927,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News with 886,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 802,000, and Nine News brought in 760,000. Next was A Current Affair on Nine which pulled in 680,000 viewers, while ABC News brought in 608,000.

When it comes to overall share, Nine won the night with 30.8% network share. This is followed by Seven with 26.1%, ABC with 18.2%  and Ten with 17.4%.

Nine secured the primary channel win with 23.7%, followed by Seven with 19.3%. The top-rated multi-channel on Monday was 7Two with 3.3%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 17 October, The Block on Nine was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.507 million viewers, including 235,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 33%. 9-1-1 on Seven had the biggest uplift of 52% and was viewed by a total audience of 601,000, with 55,000 on BVOD.
