The Block pulls its biggest audience for 2023

The Block has managed to top the Sunday ratings with its biggest episode of the season, pulling over 900,000 viewers in the five capital cities.

With The Block’s 909,000, The Sunday news pulling 764,000, and 60 Minutes drawing a further 520,000, Nine comfortably won the evening, with 37.1 % audience share.

Its closest rival was Seven, with 27.8% share, thanks to a strong showing from The 1% Club (545,000), Border Security (315,000), and Ron Iddles: The Good Cop (296,000) – the latter showing the network was wise to double down on true crime programming at its recent upfront.

ABC secured. 15.6% due to a repeat of Death In Paradise (388,000) and 2019 spy film Red Joan (229,000). It’s always comforting to see Antiques Roadshow in the ratings, too. Ten secured 11.9%, with the Sunday Project drawing 176,000 in the five metro areas.
