The Block rocks on in entertainment pole position; Nine takes Tuesday

Nine’s The Block topped entertainment on Tuesday, while the network also celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to 706,000 metro viewers, also winning all three key advertising demos. The 2022 launch aired to an average metro audience of 867,000. Last year, Nine aired the 2021 premiere of the program to 747,000 metro viewers.

Looking back at Tuesday’s overnights, next in entertainment was Home and Away on Seven, which aired to an average metro audience of 526,000, followed by The Chase Australia on Seven which aired to 510,000 metro viewers.

A Farmer Wants a Wife on Seven was next and aired to an average of 465,000, while The Hundred with Andy Lee brought in 343,000.

The Amazing Race Australia on Ten pulled in 286,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Tuesday with 969,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 937,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 aired to 799,000, and Nine News brought in 764,000. Next was A Current Affair which pulled in 645,000 viewers, while ABC News brought in 580,000.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 30.8% over Seven’s 28.4%, while ABC had a share of 17.2%, followed by Ten on 15.6%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7mate with a share of 3.9%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 13 September, Tuesday’s Seven News at 7:30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.483 million viewers, including 43,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%. Old People’s Home For Teenagers on ABC had the biggest uplift of 41% and was viewed by a total audience of 709,000.
