The Block tops entertainment as Nine wins Monday
Nine has made a strong start to the working week, with The Block topping entertainment among metro viewers and winning the network share on Monday.
The Block brought in 852,000 metro viewers, finishing only behind news programming overall, but lost out in the key three advertising demos to Ten’s Australian Survivor and Have You Been Paying Attention?

Australian Survivor brought in 761,000 metro viewers for Ten, also winning the 16-39 and 18-49 demos, while Have You Been Paying Attention? took in 704,000 metro viewers and won the coveted 25-54 demo.
In other entertainment programming, ABC’s Australian Story aired to 621,000 metro viewers, while Seven’s Home And Away had 647,000 metro viewers.
The Chase Australia had 576,000 metro viewers for Seven, which also aired a music special, ABBA New Beginnings, with 511,000 metro viewers.
The overall format winner on the night was Seven News with 1.183 million metro viewers, ahead of Nine News with 1.121 million metro viewers.
But Nine had the network share win, taking 29.2% ahead of Seven’s 25.2%, Ten’s 21.4% and ABC’s 16.6%. Nine was also the #1 primary channel and 7TWO tied with 10 Bold as the top multi-channel.
