The Block tops Thursday
Reality ruled the roost on Thursday night with Nine’s The Block topping the ratings with an overnight metro audience of 1.239m.
Meanwhile, Ten’s reality offering MasterChef averaged 1.053m, sixth for the night according to OzTam. MasterChef performed well in key demographics – second for the night behind The Block in 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
Seven’s best performer was Seven News, rating 1.204m, second for the night.
In the battle of breakfast, Seven’s Sunrise eased to a comfortable win over Nine’s Today, by 374,000 to 308,000. Ten’s Breakfast rated 29,000.

Can’t say I watched many of these but at least 13 of the 15 are local productions. That’s good for those working in local media production, although those engaged on Ten’s Breakfast must be getting a tad nervous.
