The Block wins entertainment 3 nights in a row as Nine takes Wednesday

Nine’s The Block was again the #1 entertainment program on Wednesday night, as the network also celebrated another overall network share win.

The Block brought in a metro audience of 894,000, while also winning all three key advertising demos.

An episode of ABC’s Hard Quiz was next in entertainment, pulling in a metro audience of 623,000, followed by Seven’s Home And Away which saw 590,000 metro viewers tune in.

Nine’s episode of Paramedics was next with 529,000 metro viewers, while an episode of Seven’s The Chase Australia aired to 481,000 metro viewers.

An episode of ABC’s Question Everything was next which had 440,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 411,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Wednesday was Seven News, which had an average of 984,000 metro viewers, ahead of Nine News with 948,000, and Seven News at 6:30 with 934,000 metro viewers.

As previously mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 31.8% over Seven’s 25.1% share, while the ABC had a 17.6% network share just pipping Ten’s 16.4%.

Nine also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 4.5%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 29 September, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear and BVOD television, with 1.747 million viewers including 40,000 on national BVOD.

The Block was the #1 entertainment program again with 1.514 million viewers, including a national BVOD audience of 206,000 views, an uplift of 25%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was an episode of ABC’s Frayed which had a 52% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 543,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 85,000.
