Adelaide radio ratings: Ali Clarke builds on lead as FiveAA continues freefall

Five AA has dropped a further two percentage points in GfK survey six in the Adelaide metro market. The AM station sits on 8.3% share after delivering a strong 12.3% in survey four in July.

Unlike Melbourne and Sydney, where AM again proved the big winner out of ongoing lockdowns in the nation’s two largest markets, there was no such evidence in Adelaide, despite ABC Adelaide’s Ali Clarke again proving that the breakfast slot is hers to lose, as the rest of the market stayed relatively static.

Clarke again grew her share 1.7 percentage points to establish a very healthy lead over her competitors at breakfast with a 17.9% overall share.

Five AA’s David Penberthy and Will Goodings followed Clarke at breakast at an 11.2% share, holding on to second spot despite a significant dip of 2.4 percentage points.

Elsewhere in the breakfast slot Mix 102.3’s Erin Phillips & Soda kept their lead amongst the FM stations, with a steady 10.7%, following last months 10.8%. Mix also held on to its comfortable lead at the top of the market overall at a 13.8% share, also a drop of just 0.1 points.

SAFM on The Hit Network’s Bec, Cosi and Lehmo rose 0.4 points to 9.6%, while Triple M’s Roo and Ditts were also steady, rising 0.1 to 9.5%, showing that with such a tight grouping across the FM stations, there is plenty still to happen towards the close of the year.

In the drive slot, the ABC’s Jules Schiller lost 0.4 points after a big gain last book, this time around delivering a 10.3% share. Mix’s Will and Woody held on to their lead despite a slight drop to 13.6%, while Nova’s Kate, Tim and Joel again dropped a full point to 12.2%.
