The Chase Australia on Seven tops entertainment; Lego Masters delivers the biggest consolidated uplift

The Chase Australia has topped Monday entertainment programming while Seven Network also landed another overall win.

A new season of MasterChef Australia was scheduled to premiere last night on Ten.

However, following the sudden passing of one of the show’s judges Jock Zonfrillo yesterday afternoon, the network announced that the show will not air this week. A repeat of The Bridge Australia was broadcast instead.

The Chase on Seven aired to 590,000 metro viewers, followed by the network’s Farmer Wants A Wife in entertainment with 589,000 metro viewers.

Nine’s Lego Masters brought in 521,000 metro viewers, while Home and Away on Seven aired to 495,000 metro audiences.

The #1 metro program was Seven News with 1.035 million metro viewers, which also topped all three key advertising demos.

In overnight network shares, Seven topped the night with a 30.8% share, followed by Nine with 28.1%, ABC with 18.5% and Ten with 15.8%.

Seven was the top-rated primary channel with a 22.5% share, and the top-rated multichannel was 7Two with 3.4%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV Report for 24 April, Seven News was the #1 program nationally last Sunday with 1.578 million Total TV viewers, including 41,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.

However, the program with the biggest uplift of 43% was Lego Masters on Ten with 975,000 Total TV audience and 124,000 on national BVOD.

Overnight VOZ figures that became available from yesterday are delivered from 1pm daily.
