The Chase Australia wins entertainment as Seven wins Monday

Seven’s The Chase Australia was the #1 entertainment program on Monday night, as the network also celebrated the overall network share win.

The Chase Australia brought in 419,000 metro viewers, but it was Nine News at 6:30 that won all three key advertising demos.

Nine’s RBT saw a metro audience of 410,000 tune in, while Nine’s Hot Seat, aired to 370,000 metro viewers.

Seven’s Cricket Big Bash League, which saw Brisbane Heat win against the Melbourne Renegades aired to an average of 381,000 metro viewers.

The #1 program on Monday was Seven News, which had an average of 852,000 metro viewers, ahead of Seven News at 6:30 with 836,000 metro viewers, while Nine News at 6:30 pulled in 805,000, and Nine News had 785,000.

As previously mentioned, Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 28.6%, over Nine’s 27.4% share, while the ABC took a 17.8% share, just pipping Ten’s 17.3%.

Seven also won primary channel share while the top-rating multi-channel for Monday was 7Mate with a share of 4.2%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 6 December, it was Seven News which was the #1 program nationally across linear with 1.498 million viewers including 29,000 on national BVOD and an uplift of 2%.

The program with the biggest uplift however was Monday’s episode of ABC’s Hunting The Essex Lorry Killers which had an 26% uplift on overnight figures and had a total of 329,000 viewers overall and a national BVOD audience of 6,000.
