The Chase Australia wins entertainment on Wednesday; Seven takes the night

Wednesday night’s free-to-air programming saw Seven’s The 1% Club, Nine’s Travel Guides and Ten’s MasterChef Australia going head-to-head. However, The Chase Australia came out as the winner.

The game show topped entertainment with 581,000 metro viewers, followed by Travel Guides with 534,000.

The 1% Club had 480,000 metro viewers watching, while Home and Away before the show on Seven aired to 479,000 metro viewers.

ABC’s Hard Quiz brought in 461,000 metro viewers, while MasterChef Australia attracted 436,000 metro viewers.

Seven News was the #1 program of the night with 981,000 metro viewers, as the news program at different time slots won all three key advertising demos.

Seven Network (27.6%) pipped Nine (27.5%) by 0.1%, followed by Ten with 17.7% and ABC with 16.5%.

The top-rated primary channel was Nine with 19.7%, but the top-rated multichannel was 7Mate with 3.5%.

In the latest Daily Consolidated 7 Total TV report for 3 May, Seven News was the #1 program with 1.549 million metro viewers with a 3% uplift, and 44,000 on national BVOD.

The program with the biggest uplift of 214% was an episode of Rogue Heroes with 430,000 Total TV viewers and 128,000 on national BVOD.
