The Chase tops entertainment 3 nights in a row; as Nine takes overall network share

The Chase Australia on Seven has topped entertainment for a third time this week, however, it was Nine that celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to a metro audience of 406,000, however, it was Nine News at 6:30 that won key advertising demos, 16-39, 18-49s, and Nine News topping demos, 25-54s.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for Wednesday 30 November, Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.184 million viewers, including 29,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 3%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Love Island Australia on Nine with an uplift of 531%, viewed by a total audience of 385,000, and a BVOD audience of 278,000.

Looking back at Wednesday’s overnights, A repeat episode of Hard Quiz: Kids Special on ABC aired to an average metro audience of 380,000, followed by Hot Seat on Nine pulling in a metro audience of 353,000.

Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens aired to an average of 318,000, while an episode of Country Home Rescue with Shaynna Blaze aired to 318,000 metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Seven News won overall TV viewing on Wednesday night with 735,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 734,000 metro viewers, while Nine News had 665,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 brought in 665,000, ABC News had a metro audience of 557,000, and A Current Affair pulled in 524,000 metro views.

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 27.8% just pipping Seven’s 26%, while the ABC had a share of 20.4%, and Ten had a share of 17.2%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Wednesday was 7TWO with a share of 4.5%.
