The Chase tops entertainment, while Nine wins Thursday

Seven’s The Chase topped entertainment on Thursday night, however, it was Nine that celebrated an overall network share win.

The program brought in 389,000 metro views, however, the 2022 FIFA World Cup game between France and Morroco won all three key advertising demos.

Next in non-sport programming was Nine’s Great Getaways which pulled in 260,000 metro viewers, followed by the network’s Paramedics which drew in 254,000 metro views.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 8 December, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.038 million viewers, including 26,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 2%. Love Island Australia on Nine had the biggest uplift of 669% and was viewed by a total audience of 369,000, and 274,000 on BVOD.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Thursday with 764,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 711,000 metro viewers. Nine News also aired to 609,000, while Nine News at 6:30 brought in 603,000. ABC News was next and pulled in 529,000 viewers, while A Current Affair brought in 469,000.

In terms of overall share, as mentioned, Nine took the top spot, with a share of 28.4% over Seven’s 26.9%, followed by ABC with a share of 17.8%, and Ten finishing up with a share of 17.4%.

Seven, however, secured the top primary channel share with 18.4% while Nine followed with 17.8%. The top-rating multi-channel on Thursday was 7TWO with a share of 4.1%.
