The Chaser’s Media Circus has soft opening while The Bachelor edges close to million mark

It aired at 8pm but could not match Channel Ten’s The Bachelor, which drew in 981,000 viewers from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, again taking the top prize for the highest rating entertainment show of the evening and comfortably winning all the demogrpahics.

Failing Restaurant Revolution was pushed back even further to the 9.30pm to 11.15pm time slot on Seven, drawing in a paltry 183,000 metro viewers and ranking just 53rd overall for the day according to OzTam’s overnight metro ratings.

That saw Seven languishing in third spot for audience share with 13.8 per cent, behind Ten’s 18 per cent and Nine’s dominant 21 per cent.

In the run to the finals, the Footy Show on Nine got a strong 718,000 audience, winning the 8.30pm time slot for the evening.

Nine News just cracked the million mark with 1.014m viewers dipping to 1.007m at 6.30pm, as Seven News trailed behind with 942,000 at 6pm and 893,000 for its 6.30pm bulletin and Today Tonight offering, both below The Bachelor.

In the battle of the breakfast shows, Sunrise on Seven (367,000) edged away from Nine’s Today (343,000).
