The Collective launches 25th issue as four separate editions

Magazine The Collective has just published its 25th issue, with the magazine returning to its roots with a “split cover concept” that featured local Aussie talent “making waves on global scale”.

The “split cover concept” sees the magazine go to print as four issue featuring the same content and a different front cover.

The covers feature:

  • Eleanor Pendleton young, savvy, very well respected in beauty and digital media. Eleanor has been reviving the traditional beauty landscape online- creating animated content in partnership with some of the most respected household names such as Chanel, L’Oreal Paris and Elizabeth Arden with her website Gritty Pretty.
  • Toby & Pete the duo creating visual effects on film and on stage for huge music industry names including the likes of Flume and Chet Faker. The cover design was always intended to be in collaboration with Toby & Pete who designed the ‘glitch graphics’ and thus showcasing their artistic talent for their first magazine cover.
  • Luc Wiesman founder of men’s website D’Marge was rumoured to be “taking on GQ” and Editor-in-Chief Lisa Messenger loved the idea of another upcoming independent media platform wanting to take on the bigger publishing houses “when we met with Luc, we knew he was the perfect fit, he encompasses a lot of what we stand for.” Says Lisa.
  • Samantha Wills renowned Aussie jewellery designer is taking the U.S by storm, with strong presence in stores such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom and Free People to name a few. Samantha has been a part of The Collective family from issue #1. Lisa made comment “we are constantly in awe of how she takes control of her business and won’t let anything stop her, she is someone that our audience can look up too without a doubt”.

All covers are out September 7.

The Collective’s Lisa Messenger will be presenting at next month’s Publish Conference on how she has grown the magazine one year on from announcing its international expansion plans. For information on the conference and tickets click on the below banner.
