The Iconic CMO Alexander Meyer to depart this week

The Iconic’s CMO Alexander Meyer is set to depart the online retailer on 18 November, as he goes to Canada to take up the chief customer officer at The Bay.

Meyer had been in the role since 2016, having moved from Berlin where he was chief marketing officer at Hubrick.

The Iconic’s CEO Erica Berchtold said: “Alex has been an invaluable member of The Iconic Executive Team and leader of the Marketing Team for 5.5 years. It is during his time with us that we have moved from being a disruptor in the retail space to a permanent force in the retail landscape that is redefining the future of shopping. We thank Alex for his time with us and the role he played in building The Iconic into what it is today, and wish him and his family the best in Canada.”

Mumbrella understands that The Iconic has commenced the search for Meyer’s replacement, which will be announced in 2022.

Mumbrella has contacted Meyer for comment.
