The Marketing Zoo co-founder Brad Hellegas steps down

Brad Hellegas, co-founder and CEO of The Marketing Zoo, is stepping down from the role having sold his stake in the business to co-founder David Lo.

Hellegas, who leaves to spend more time with his family, helped launched the brand activation and promotions agency 11 years ago.

“During the last four months, David [Lo] and I have been in discussions about our involvement in The Marketing Zoo going forward and it is with much happiness, and a touch of sadness, that I have decided to sell my 50 per cent ownership in The Marketing Zoo to David,” said Hellegas.

Last year, Hellegas and Lo, along with former staffers from nineMSN and 5th Finger, Jon Slade, Renée Bilston and Amy Copcutt, launched Digital Stampede, The Marketing Zoo’s digital arm and an independent agency. Hellegas retains his stake in the Digital Stampede business.

His last day at The Marketing Zoo is July 6.
