The Monkeys creative director moves to bespoke TBWA agency
TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Apple’s bespoke global creative agency, has welcomed a new Australian group creative director who joins from The Monkeys.
Stuart Alexander will take on the newly created role, reporting directly to Brent Anderson, the bespoke agency’s global chief creative officer.
He will also work closely with general manager Jack Donaghey.
“Stuart comes with a proven track record for creating work that has moved people, rippled culture, and instigated behavioral change,” Anderson said of the appointment.
“I am thrilled to welcome him to Media Arts Lab and for him to drive forward our work in Australia.
“His talent and energy will help us continue to create impact for Apple.”
Alexander has spent the last five years as creative director at The Monkeys, working on brands including Telstra, where he was part of the team that made payphones in Australia permanently free.
Prior to that, he spent two years at Leo Burnett as creative director, with previous experience at Havas/Host, AJF Partnership and BMF, among other agencies. Alexander’s stand-out work also includes the transformation of immigration laws in Palau through Havas/Host’s 2017 Palau Pledge campaign.
“Media Arts Lab has a long and storied history of impeccably crafted work that impacts culture, a goal I have long strived to accomplish through my creative work,” Alexander said.
“To say that I’m excited is an understatement and I can’t wait to share some exciting work already in development.”
